The Gloaming by Hans Rickheit follows Celeste, Magenta, and Jade — three young adult women who wander through their strange city after dark, looking for excitement, food, and unusual encounters. Their nighttime adventures bring them face-to-face with Gomperthat has a curious interest in them.
After their encounter, the girls return home to Poppa, an eccentric inventor whose experiments in cloning fill the basement with bizarre test subjects. Some of these creations eventually escape, leading to unpredictable situations and creature interactions as the story unfolds.
Hans Rickheit’s comic blends surreal imagery, dark fantasy, and mature themes into a unique 2D adult experience filled with oddities, atmospheric scenes, and striking artwork.
